Every year Orange County turns into a beacon of creativity for national and international filmmakers as The Newport Beach Film Festival kicks into high gear. This year (2016) the festival runs from April 21st through April 28th and will feature 350 films over the course of just 8 days!

About the Newport Beach Film Festival
Founded in 1999, The Newport Beach Film Festival was created to shine a spotlight on independent films that have an artistic or social impact beyond most Hollywood popcorn movies. Over the course of the festival presenters will highlight 60 feature-length documentaries and over 200 short films (making it the largest short program of any American film festival).
Many of the films are presented in specific series including The Family Film Series, the Action Sports Series, and the Environmental Film Series. There’s even a series of films written, directed, and shot by youths representing the future generations of filmmakers.
The festival has grown so much in recent years that it now takes place at multiple venues across Orange County including:
