The Breeders’ Cup Comes to Del Mar
For 33 years the Breeders’ Cup has had horse racing fans on their feet. From the epic three-way finish at the end of the very first Classic in 1984 to last year’s underdog (Juddmonte Farms’ Arrogate) win over favorite California Chrome, The Breeders’ Cup has long been one of the most exciting racing series in equestrian sport. Now, for the very first time, The Breeders’ Cup will come home to the Del Mar Racetrack. This is your chance to witness this epic series in California’s most iconic equestrian venue—where the surf meets the turf.
Beginning on November 3rd (and running through the 4th) race fans can watch a total of 13 Breeders’ Cup World Championship Races including the Longines Breeders’ Cup Distaff on Friday at 4:35PM and the Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday at 5:35PM. Will there be yet another upset as a relatively unknown Dark Horse takes the trophy or will your favorite win by a nose?

You don’t have to wait for The Breeders’ Cup Races to get in on the action. Each day of The Breeders’ Cup Championship races the gates at Del Mar open at 9:00AM and 8:00AM (respectively) and the course will feature an entire day of racing (22 races total).
